Profit X Edu AI ("the App", "we", "us") is a financial-education app published by Profit X Education. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. What we collect
Account information: your email address, used only to create and secure your account and to send you a one-time login code (no password needed, no SMS ever used).
Date of birth: collected once during onboarding solely to verify you meet the app's minimum age (see Section 6, Children's privacy). It is not shown to other users and is not used for any purpose beyond this age check.
Learning activity: which lessons you complete, quiz answers, XP, streaks, badges earned, book-library reading progress, and your self-reported learning level — used only to personalise your learning path and track your progress.
Payment information: paid plans are currently purchased only through Google Play Billing inside the Android app. We do NOT store your card or Google account credentials — those are handled directly by Google. We store only the transaction status, amount, and plan you purchased. (A website checkout is not currently available.)
Basic device/app data: standard technical information (app version, device type) needed to keep the app working and to diagnose crashes.
Support tickets / bug reports: if you use the in-app Feedback or Report a Problem option, we collect the description you write, an optional screenshot, and your account email — used solely to diagnose and resolve the issue you reported. We do not use this information for any other purpose.
Analytics & crash diagnostics: we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) inside the Android app to understand feature usage (e.g. lesson/quiz started or completed, streak milestones, purchase confirmation) and to automatically capture crash/error reports so we can fix bugs. Crash reports are tagged with an opaque internal account id only — never your email or name.
Advertising (currently switched off): the Android app bundles Google AdMob's advertising SDK as dormant scaffolding, ready to be turned on in a future update — but it ships and currently runs with ads fully OFF app-wide, and no ad is ever requested or shown while it stays off. If ads are ever turned on, we will apply Google's age-appropriate ad-content rating (capped at "General audience") and update this policy and Section 4 below with the real advertising details at that time.
2. What we do NOT collect or do
We do NOT collect or use live/real-time stock market data anywhere in this app.
We do NOT offer a trading or paper-trading simulator, and we do NOT track or store any simulated trading activity.
We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
We do NOT provide investment advice, buy/sell recommendations, or stock tips through this app — it is purely educational.
3. How your data is stored
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL database provider) with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authenticated systems only.
4. Third-party services we use
Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
Google Play Billing — for in-app purchases made through the Android app, per Google Play's own policies. This is currently the only active payment method.
Firebase Analytics (Google) — app usage/engagement events (e.g. lesson/quiz progress, streak milestones, purchase confirmations), used to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — automatic crash and error reports, tagged only with an opaque internal account id, used solely to find and fix bugs.
Google AdMob — bundled in the Android app as dormant advertising scaffolding (see above); currently switched off app-wide, so no ad request, advertising ID, or ad-related data collection occurs while it stays off.
5. Your rights — including account deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see below). You can also delete your account and personal data yourself, permanently, in either of two ways:
In the app: Profile → Delete Account (a fresh email one-time-code re-confirmation is required, since this is permanent).
Deleting your account removes your profile, learning progress, XP, streaks, and badges immediately. If you have a paid-plan purchase on file, the transaction record itself (amount, provider, dates — never your name/email/phone) is retained as required for financial audit/tax record-keeping; everything else tied to you is deleted.
6. Children's privacy
This app is intended for users aged 13 and above. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and sign-up is blocked for any account that reports a date of birth under 13. Users aged 13-17 should use this app under a parent or guardian's awareness, particularly before making any paid purchase.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
